  1. OMG. Past the big green bush—spectacular. Ellen, your handling has become so smooth and natural. It’s making me a bigger believer in the 6’ leash! I loved every single step of that track. Now, back to 3 turns, and every other track, let’s NOT feed at the start article. If you don’t feed at the start article, go ahead with the SP at 5. If you DO feed at the start article, move the first SP out, maybe 10 or 15 yards. So he is either reinforced at the start, or for the act of starting. If, after a couple of sessions, he’s not showing any change of behavior with the changed pattern, go to every 3-4 tracks with no food for the start article.

Your handling, and his determined work, at the first big bush just made me start thinking about your TDX. I had to tell myself to focus!
