10/5/24. Two tracks with video

 10/5/24. Track #1 Right turn  Leg 1 - 120 yds, Leg - 2 25 yards.  Double laid with scent pads alternating with articles. Recently cut wet grass. 66 degrees. Laid at 7:40, ran it at 7:50.

Track #2 Left turn.  Leg 1 - 75 yards, Leg 2 - 22 yards. Double laid with scent pads alternating with articles. Knee high wet grass. Laid at 8:20, ran at 8:30.

  1. I’m still liking this. Not sure what you saw as squirrelly—you laid the track diagonally across the mow lines, which will potentially allow the scent to spread along the ‘furrows.’ I would expect to see him cast a bit (actually, a lot more than he did) as he figures this out. On the second track (which was better for sure) at about 1:55 he’s casting off a bit, and it feels like you moved forward? In general, if he’s searching, play out line (a little bit at a time), but don’t move your feet. If your feet move, you are reinforcing him. The general rule is that your feet don’t move unless he’s following the track. None the less, I thought both of these tracks looked good!
