2 Turn Tracks 11/18/23

 11/18/23. 2 turn tracks. 63 degrees. Front field - knee high grass, very dry. Smokey with a steady breeze. 

S5W5F3.  Dewey is on 40 mg prednisone.

Track 1 - good start, 1st leg stayed on track, nailed the first turn, 2 nd leg had some wobbles and a question mark turn, 3(rd leg was on track, good article indication

Track 2 - good start, 1st leg was on track, cut the turn a smidge, 2nd leg got wobbly, went past turn but circled back in a wobbly question mark, 3rd leg was a train wreck, good article indication.

    Not sure I’d call that a train wreck! Glad he’s tracking well on the pred. Make sure you are following willingly—sometimes dogs wobble when they are being asked to pull too hard.

    Go Team! You handled the distraction in Track 2 Leg 3 by waiting and taking some steps backwards.

I think I should have stopped instead of slowed down?? 60 degrees, gusts up to 29 mph, 46% humidity     Laid at 9:25, ran at 10:40ish Good start, good articles, stayed with track The random gloves that were 5 yds past the end of the hangman drew him forward and then he is used to continuing on straight after finding an article, so he went straight on. Andrea stopped us and then we did the back up routine until he found the leg. I was happy with our overall performance.
