9/17/23 Track

 9/17/23 Bart’s field - 70 degrees - 9:15 am - grass is barely damp - steady breeze from west to east - 6 foot lead - 45 degree turn - fed at each article (3) - ball play after track.

  1. Okay start
  2. First leg was good
  3. Turn was better than last time. He cut the corner a bit even though it was 45 degrees. 
  4. Second leg was a shit show. I should have stopped and backed up immediately. He saw the final article and ran for it. Need taller grass!

I think I should have stopped instead of slowed down?? 60 degrees, gusts up to 29 mph, 46% humidity     Laid at 9:25, ran at 10:40ish Good start, good articles, stayed with track The random gloves that were 5 yds past the end of the hangman drew him forward and then he is used to continuing on straight after finding an article, so he went straight on. Andrea stopped us and then we did the back up routine until he found the leg. I was happy with our overall performance.
