9/27/23. Bart’s Field    8:15am.   59 degrees, overcast, breezy. Wet grass, 8-12”. Age 5-8 minutes.

               S10W10F5.  Goal is to keep him in the footsteps.  Short leash.

               Track 1 - 65 steps, he stayed right on it. Solid start. Good down at article.

                Track 2 - 27 steps, he stayed on it. Good start. Good down at article.

                 Track 3 - 65 steps, took him a minute to start, got a few yards down and wanted to go side to side, then got on the track but was off to the right about 4 feet due to wind blowing that direction. So I walked off to left of track to keep him in the footsteps and he pulled on down to the article.

    Love it! Let's try S7, if that goes well for 2 sessions (2 different days) then drop to S5 and hold there. Remember to maintain criteria--less scuff doesn't give him 'permission' to be less precise.

I think I should have stopped instead of slowed down?? 60 degrees, gusts up to 29 mph, 46% humidity     Laid at 9:25, ran at 10:40ish Good start, good articles, stayed with track The random gloves that were 5 yds past the end of the hangman drew him forward and then he is used to continuing on straight after finding an article, so he went straight on. Andrea stopped us and then we did the back up routine until he found the leg. I was happy with our overall performance.
