10/25/23. 8:30 am, 57 degrees, sunny, slight breeze, wet grass that was cut a few days ago. Track 1 - 60 yds, S5W10F5, went 10 yds from edge of woods. Good start. He stayed in footsteps until closest to woods where he tracked slightly to right of track. Good down at article. Track 2 - 32 yds, S5W10F5, good start, stayed exactly in footsteps, sat at article (I asked for a down). Track 3 - 50 yd, S5W10F5, good start, stayed on track, sat at article (I asked for down) Track 4 - 25 yds, went between huge cedar tree and woods so I increased food S5W5F2. Good start, stayed about 6 -12 inches to right of track, skipped some hot dogs, down at article.
10/20/23. 4:45 pm, 57 degrees, Pouring rain, short wet grass in Bart’s field - left turns, short lead, S5W10F5 Notes: He does not like pouring rain, but my new rain pants are awesome! Good start. He overshot both turns, I stopped and he swerved back and forth until he found the hot dog about 5 steps down the leg and got back on track. He did not stay in the footsteps, he missed most of the hot dogs and did a lot of surfing back and forth down the track. He needs more rain tracks! Good down at article.
10/11/23 7:45am, 52 degrees, dew on grass, sun coming up past trees, S5W10F5. Short leash. Great start, trouble on first open left turn and then trouble staying with track on leg 2, settled in and made the next turn but cut the corner a smidge, ended the last two sections beautifully, excellent down at article.
10/06/23 Bart’s field, 4:30 pm, 76 degrees, sunny, faint breeze, 6” dry grass, S5W10F5 Track 1 - 40 yd, then left turn, and 20 yd to article. Rough start, stayed close to track, I need to stop when he stops and not keep walking to keep leash tight? 10/1/23 6:00pm, 72 degrees, dry tallish grass, S5W10F5 Track1 - 55 yd straight- good start, stayed on track, good down at article (eye glass case) Track 2 - 25 yd leg, 45 degree left turn, 25 yd leg - rough start, did not stay on track (without help) until 15 yards down first leg, then got on track and made the turn exactly and finished the second leg on the track. Good down at article (glove). Ball play at end of session.
